Tata Steel director Nusli Wadia sacked

Nusli Wadia was removed as Tata Steel director after 9 out of 10 shareholders who voted favoured the resolution.
Wadia was removed following a nearly six-hour extraordinary general meeting (EGM) held by the company on Wednesday to seek his removal, according to Live Mint.
Wadia’s removal comes a week after Cyrus Mistry was sacked from the post of Tata Industries Director.
While Tata Sons spokesperson informed media about his stepping down as director, the removal of Mistry as chairman of Tata Sons in a boardroom coup took place in October.
In the meanwhile, six other companies - Tata Consultancy Services, Indian Hotels, Tata Motors, Tata Chemicals, Tata Power and Tata Steel - have called EGMs. Tata Motors will hold two such meetings - one for its ordinary shareholders and the other for its differential voting rights investors - The Economic Times reported.
